✂️ Snip Snip, No Ouch: The Truth About Hair and Nails 💇♂️

Heyy Overlookers!!
Ever wondered why getting a haircut doesn’t make you cry out in pain? 💇♂️
Or why trimming your nails doesn’t feel like some ancient torture?🏰
It’s simple: your hair and nails are basically freeloaders. They’re made of keratin, a protein that’s as lifeless as an old phone battery. 🔋 Because these keratin bits don’t have any nerve endings, they can’t complain when you decide it’s time to cut them. ✂️ So go ahead, snip away! They won’t feel a thing. In fact, they’re probably just happy you’re finally giving them some attention. 😊
Hair and nails grow from living cells at their roots, where they push the older, dead cells out. By the time you see them poking out as hair or nails, they’ve already gone through a process called keratinization, which basically makes them biologically "checked out." ✌️ So, snipping them off is just a bit of upkeep, not some daring act of bravery. ✂️
P.S. Next time you get a haircut or trim your nails, just remember: you're not hurting anyone… except maybe your wallet if you opted for the fancy salon! 💸💇♀️💅
And just a friendly reminder: tomorrow is Monday, so make sure your hair and nails are ready for the teacher’s inspection! 😉
Stay fabulous,
